ZSOLT BALOGH   CREATIVE DIRECTOR AND LEAD DESIGNER 

Zsolt is an innovative animation and video designer and creative director of Palma studio. Trained at NFTS and the Royal College of Art, London, his creative portfolio spans live events, theatre, exhibitions, and film production. The artistry and visual power of his designs have been widely acclaimed. Before establishing Palma studio, Zsolt cut his teeth on high-profile commissions for, among others, Fifty-Nine Productions and the London 2012 Olympic Opening (OCC), David Bowie Is (V&A), and The Baroque Story / Hampton Court 500 event (Historic Royal Palaces).

 

KATHRYN JOHNSON   ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR 

Kathryn is a curator, interpretation editor, and associate director of Palma studio. She has recently developed permanent exhibition galleries for the forthcoming Hungarian House of Music in Budapest. She was previously content editor for the exhibition ‘Pink Floyd: Their Mortal Remains’ and assistant curator of the blockbuster ‘David Bowie is’ at the Victoria and Albert Museum. She holds a PhD in modern literature, and was co-investigator for a 2018 AHRC/V&A/Punchdrunk Enrichment research project to develop new immersive heritage experiences.

REBECCA BROWER    PRODUCTION & STAGE DESIGNER

Rebecca is an award-winning UK based Production and Stage Designer working in Live Events,
Theatre, Immersive Theatre and Ceremonies. Rebecca trained at The Royal Central School of
Speech and Drama and in 2012 was on the Design Team for the Opening and Closing
Ceremonies for the London Olympic and Paralympic games.


Recent Productions include: The Last King of Scotland (Sheffield, Crucible), RISE (Brent 2020
City of Culture), North Star (Newcastle, Closing Ceremony for the Exhibition of the North).
Up and coming productions and events include; Doctor Who: Time Fracture (BBC, Immersive
Everywhere), Hayfever (Salisbury Playhouse), Shandyland (Northern Stage).

RICHARD HAMMARTON  COMPOSER SOUND DESIGNER

Richard is a London-based composer and sound designer working across theatre and live performance, TV and film, interactive entertainment and digital platforms. Richard began his career as an orchestrator for screen (Silent Witness, Agatha Christie's Marple, Dalziel and Pascoe and A History of Britain) before going on to compose and design for theatre. He has collaborated on more than 150 productions, both in the UK and internationally. As well as conventional theatre settings, Richard also works with multi-platform technology for interactive projects and complex audience-led experiential designs.

ANDREA AUSZTRICS  CREATIVE PRODUCER

Andrea is a creative independent producer, curator and visual artist. Her expertise is in documentary film production and integrated animation. She has wide-ranging experience of different moving image genres and production roles, and is passionate about interdisciplinary projects. She holds a PhD in social history, has a background in cultural anthropology and film studies, and publishes frequently.

KATE FENHALLS   PRODUCER

Kate is a highly experienced producer who worked in television and film from 1994-2006 before moving into events and arts production.  Her recent productions include a touring light and sculpture trail ‘For the Birds’ and ‘Illuminata Botanica’, supported by Arts Council Wales and National Theatre Wales.

AARON BRADLEY   SENIOR ANIMATOR

Aaron is an animator and illustrator, with extensive experience of creating content for live events, theatre and immersive experiences. He was senior animator for 'Made in Hull' with Palma Studio, and has worked on several high-profile events for 59 Productions with clients ranging from the Guggenheim Bilbao to the Edinburgh International Festival.

Most recently, he was lead animator on the theatre production of the critically acclaimed ‘Ballad of Johny Longstaff’ (dir. Lorne Campbell). He holds an MSc in Animation and Installation from Duncan of Jordanstone, Dundee, and has a special interest in immersive, emerging technologies, VR, AR, experiential and interactive design with an emphasis on character and pattern.
